Barcelona International Youth Science this summer

11-22 July 2016

The Barcelona International Youth Science (BIYSC) is an inspiring summer challenge event for young scientists and would-be-scientists from all over the world. BIYSC aims to connect the most passionate science students with the best researchers in this field to be the change makers of the future.

The organizers as members of Network of Youth Excellence want to inspire bright young scientists to apply their minds to multi-disciplinary research, engage them to like-minded peers and eminent scientific leaders through close and personal interactive sessions, Empower participants to pursue their research passions and Challenge future scientist to drive their passion with attitude.

The event is focused around biomedicine, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, evolutionary biology, genetics, neuro-Science , robotics, nanotechnology, environmental sciences and nutrition.

Students all over the world are invited supposed they are between 16 and 19 years old, that is they were born between 1st January 1997 and 31st December 2000, they have a good understanding of written and spoken English and they are studying science and either have applied or planning to apply for a science course at a university.

  • Taking a closer look at DNA: using sequencing to explore evolution and biodiversity
  • NanoLight: Light and Matter at the Nanoscale
  • Uncovering the hidden diversity of the oceans
  • Instructive Biomaterials for Regenerative Medicine
  • From molecules into electricity
  • The electron and the truck: the trip of nanoscience to smart cities
  • From DNA to protein related diseases
  • Bioinspired/Social Robots and IoT: an example of a Cloud Robotics System
  • Neuro-Robotics as a tool to understand the brain
  • HMG-CoA reductase: building the architecture of the Endoplasmic Reticle
