The Council was founded on the initiative of the Association of Hungarian Teachers in Slovakia in 2011.
Its mission is:
- to coordinate the regional Support Centers of gifted and talented students at schools,
- to organize competitions and venues for gifted students in fields of social subjects and science to encourage them in professional activities,
- to help students with disadvantaged background,
- to organize events, trainings and conferences for teachers who deal with talented youth.
