XLAB organizes International Science Camp in Goettingen, Germany

19 June - 21 August 2016

first Camp from June 19th to July 10th, 2016
second Camp from July 31th to August 21st , 2016

Every summer since 2003 XLAB has organized two International Science Camps. Since then, exactly 664 students from at least 45 different nations came to Goettingen, the site of one of the oldest and most famous universities of Europe. The program is particularly attractive for high school students, undergraduate college and university students being 17 to 22 years of age.

XLAB is an experimental laboratory for young people and bridges the gap between high school and university. XLAB offers experimental courses in all natural sciences in English and in German all year round on the science campus of the University of Goettingen. XLAB collaborates with scientific institutes of the university, the research institutes of the Max Planck Society, the Laser Laboratory and the German Primate Center.

Three weeks of intensive experimental laboratory work in biology, neurophysiology, chemistry, physics and ecology are rounded off by a social and cultural program. All courses are designed and supervised by scientists of XLAB, the University of Goettingen and affiliated research organizations.

Applying students should be highly interested in research and show a substantial knowledge in science.

The schedule for 2016 is shown below. Both camps offer a wide range of courses. The science camps last for 3 weeks.

All courses are in English so Participants must be fluent in written and spoken English.
