It is a non-profit organization, active since 2005. Its activities have been focused on designing of research projects on gifted and talented in primary and secondary education, teachers’ training, parents’ sensitization, designing and implementation of specialized educational programs, creating specialized educational material, and offering psychological support of the gifted/talented individuals and their family members, within family, school system and social context. There is a cooperation of the society with the “Center for Creativity development”, an academic center of the Department of Psychology that is focused on research and tutoring courses and seminars for university students, teachers and parents on the field of creativity, giftedness and talent. It belongs to the School of Philosophy, of the Athens University.
Operation of the European Talent Centre - Budapest is realised with the support of Grant Scheme No. NTP-EUT-M-12 (between 15th December 2012 and 30th June 2013) and NTP-EU-M-13 (between 31th October 2013 and 30th June 2014) and announced by the Institute for Educational Research and Development and the Human Resources Support Manager on commission of the Ministry of Human Resources “To support international experience exchange serving the objectives of the National Talent Programme, and to promote the operation and strategic further development of the European Talent Centre - Budapest”.
